India have faltered in the death overs of the shorter formats in international cricket. The pressure of hitting boundaries in the last phase of the game have taken a toll on even the best finishers of the Men in Blue. However, Tamil Nadu based Shahrukh Khan could solve India’s concern.
In the ongoing finale of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, he played another blinder. Apart from Dinesh Karthik’s century, Shahrukh’s 42 off 21 balls took Tamil Nadu to 314 in 49.4 overs. The team had lost four wickets with just 40 on board at one stage.
In the finale of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, Shahrukh Khan hit a big six on the last ball of the match to take his team to victory. He amassed 31 not-out off just 15 balls.
The big hitting was not retained by Punjab Kings for IPL 2022, a move which surprised many leading cricket experts. He could start a bidding war in IPL’s mega auction.
