Mumbai finished the opening day of their Ranji Trophy match against Saurashtra in a dominating position. Riding on Ajinkya Rahane (108) and Sarfaraz Khan’s (121) phenomenal batting display, Mumbai finished at 263/3 on day one of a Group D Ranji Trophy encounter at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Thursday. The two stitched an unbeaten 219-run stand for the fourth wicket.
Safaraz was recently bought by Delhi Capitals for INR 20 lakh. The IPL 2022 is expected to start in March. Meanwhile, the 24-year old has been unstoppable in the premier red-ball tournament.
The right-handed batter has amassed 1041 runs at an average of 208.2 since 2019. His magnificent run includes one triple century as well.
