The England and Wales Cricket Board on Tuesday announced its squad for the upcoming tour to South Africa. England will play three T20s and as many ODIs against South Africa, starting from November 27, 2020.

England's Jofra Archer, Ben Stokes, and Sam Curran have been rested for the one-day international leg of the tour against the Proteas. However, the trio will take part in the T20I leg of the tour, which starts later this month.

The white-ball series' will be played under a bio-secure bubble, amidst the coronavirus health crisis. Archer, Stokes, and Curran have all been in a bubble while taking part in the Indian Premier League tournament, which is being staged in the UAE.

While Archer was ruled out of the second Test against the West Indies in Manchester in July after breaching Covid-19 regulations, Stokes missed a chunk of England's international, as he decided to spend some time with his ailing father. Curran, on the other hand, featured in both Test cricket and shorter formats.

Archer, last week, revealed the challenges faced by the players in the bio-bubble.

"You're not at the ground but you still can't get away from cricket," he explained. "It's OK and it will be over soon anyway. You're just counting days down till you're free again," Archer had said.

Newlands, Cape Town, will stage both the opening T20 on November 20 and the first ODI on December 4, while the Boland Park in Paarl will host the remaining games.
