Hardik Pandya and MS Dhoni
Wasim Akram feels CSK will the IPL 16 final

Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings will square off at the IPL 16 final on May 28 at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Gujarat would look to become the first team in the history of the cash-studded league to lift the title for two straight years since debut, while CSK are eyeing to level Mumbai Indians’ record of five IPL titles.

Hours before the final, the fans started to fill the Narendra Modi Stadium. While it is Gujarat’s home ground, there is a sea of yellow for MS Dhoni, who is playing in his 11th IPL final, and 10th for CSK.

Ahead of the all-important final, several experts have given their predictions and the latest to jump onto the bandwagon is former Pakistan seamer Wasim Akram.

The 56-year-old stated that Chennai would have an upper hand over Gujarat. “I did expect Chennai and Gujarat to finish in the top 4. Others will have their opinions, but for me, CSK is 60% and GT 40%. Gujarat have Shubman Gill and Hardik Pandya, but CSK have qualified for finals ten times.”

Notably, CSK and GT faced twice this season, and in their latest meet, Chennai had handed a 15 runs defeat to Gujarat in the first qualifier.
