India cricketer Ambati Rayudu has been suspended from bowling in international cricket for a suspect action. The International Cricket Council says Rayudu “didn’t elect to submit a test of his bowling action within the stipulated 14 days of being reported for suspect action.” The off-spinner will remain suspended until his bowling action is tested and “can demonstrate he is able to bowl with a legal action.”

Rayudu was reported during the first ODI between Australia and India in Sydney on Jan. 13. He bowled two overs in the match and didn’t pick a wicket after conceding 13 runs. India lost the match by 34 runs.

According to the regulation, Rayudu could bowl in domestic cricket events with the consent of Board of Control for Cricket in India.
