New Zealand registered their 2nd win of the 2022 ICC T20 World Cup as they beat Sri Lanka by 65 runs to remain at the top spot in group A.

Winning the toss, Kane Williamson opted to bat first. However, the decision backfired as the Kiwis lost their three wickets for 15 runs. New Zealand put 167 on the board, requiring Lanka to chase 168 in 20 overs. In reply, the batters were disappointing and were 4 down for just 8 runs.

Trent Boult picked up four wickets and New Zealand bowled out Sri Lanka for just 102 runs.
