Virat Kohli
He highlighted how Kohli gets angry with other fielders when they misfield drop catches.

Virat Kohli dropped a simple catch of Dhruv Jurel when the batter was struggling to score runs in the IPL 2025 match between home franchise Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. On the last ball of the 17th over, Jurel went for a big shot but couldn’t time it. The ball went straight to Virat, who was stationed at long-off, but the veteran dropped the straightforward catch. Jurel, who was on 12 runs off 12 balls, went on to score an unbeaten 35 off 23, laced with 2 fours and 2 sixes. His innings took Rajasthan to 173/4 in 20 overs.

Former India player Virender Sehwag mocked Virat for his ordinary fielding. He highlighted how Kohli gets angry with other fielders when they misfield drop catches.

“It seems Virat Kohli has applied Desi Ghee on his hands, and that’s why he couldn’t grab the ball. You can’t drop a simple catch. He gets angry with others when they drop catches. I believe he would be angry with himself as well,” he said.

“Virat would be responsible if Jurel scores runs in the contest. It was a routine catch, and there is no excuse for not grabbing it. Virat is a safe fielder, but he made a mistake,” he added.

Sehwag was not done yet as he took another dig at Kohli after Devdutt Padikkal completed Shimron Hetmyer’s catch near the boundary rope on the fifth ball of the 20th over. “Thank God it was not Virat Kohli.”
