Indian off-spinner Harbhajan Singh has defended the Pakistan team after they lost to India in the ongoing World Cup.

Fans from Pakistan were furious with players and blasted them for their mediocre performance against arch rivals.

A number of videos and pictures have gone viral on social media where players can be seen having burgers on the eve of the World Cup match against India.

As soon as Pakistan lost their seventh successive World Cup game against Men in Blue, Pakistan fans ripped apart players for their outing before the game.

Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was trolled for yawning on the field during the game.

Harbhajan Singh has come out in defence of Pakistan team. He stated players are allowed to eat whatever they want and their diet shouldn’t be blamed for their performance.

“They are allowed to have burgers, it’s their wish what they want to do,” Harbhajan Singh told India Today.

Former Aussie skipper Michael Clarke also spoke about the performance of Pakistan.

“At the end of the day you put in the work and you get the rewards. If you don’t then you don’t get the rewards. Pakistan has to look at why they are underperforming in this World Cup. Whatever the reason, whether it’s training or the right squad, preparation.

“At the moment they are not playing well enough. They are a better team than how they are playing,” Clarke told India Today.
