Former Bangladesh skipper Shakib-al-Hasan is spending quality with his family at the moment. Meanwhile, he has named his Indian Premier League (IPL) XI, featuring only those players he played with in the T20 league.
In a conversation with Harsha Bhogle, he picked his team. Shakib was in exceptional touch during the last edition of the World Cup in England and Wales. However, he was banned for two years for breaching the ICC Anti-Corruption Code in October last year.
In a chat with the famous commentator on Cricbuzz, Shakib spoke about his beloved game. When he asked to name his favorite IPL XI, he went with the players of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders.
David Warner and Robin Uthappa were kept in the opening slot while Gautam Gambhir was given captain’s responsibility.
Manish Pandey, Shakib Al Hasan, Yusuf Pathan, and Andre Russell were kept in the middle order. Sunil Narine, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Laxmipathy Balaji, and Umesh Yadav formed the deadly bowling lineup.
