In an interview with Star Sports, Bangar highlighted Kohli’s commitment to maintaining the pristine condition of his cricketing gear before a Test series, reflecting the batsman’s deep respect for Test cricket.
“He treasures Test cricket and often expresses his love for the traditional format. His shoes are consistently spotless, always in pristine white. He ensures his pads remain neat and insists on keeping his bat free from any marks. Unke joote aur pads hamesha chakaa chak rahte hain hain,” Bangar told Star Sports.
“So, that’s his sentiment towards Test cricket. He readies his kit ahead of each series. If he faces challenges in the nets, he takes a moment to reflect, returning with heightened determination to tackle the next delivery.
