Arun Jaitley, the former DDCA president and finance minister and one of the most prominent faces of Bharatiya Janata Party, passed away on Saturday. He was 66 years old and was unwell for the last two years. Last year, the political giant had undergone kidney transplant surgery.

After the Bharatiya Janata Party’s massive victory in the 2019 Lok Sabha election, Arun Jaitley had requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to not be given any responsibilities in the new government due to his poor state of health.
