The Royal Challengers Bangalore defended their total against Sunrisers Hyderabad in match number six of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021) season on Wednesday.
Put into bat, the Virat Kohli-led RCB posted 149/8 in 20 overs with Glenn Maxwell scoring 59 from 41 balls.
In reply, SRH skipper David Warner hit a fifty but the side lost their way from there on. They managed 143/9 in the end. Besides, Warner and Manish Pandey (33) not SRH batsmen went on to impress in the game as they lost their second successive match in IPL 2021 season.
RCB went on to score 47/1 in the powerplay overs after Devdutt Padikkal (11) was dismissed early on by Bhuvneshwar Kumar. SRH got back with key wickets as RCB kept losing wickets at regular intervals which stalled their innings. Glenn Maxwell went on to shine for the RCB as he hit a well-made fifty.
SRH were on cruise control but they lost their way as another two points were squandered. We present the records that were scripted in the match.
