RR vs GT Player Ratings
Rashid Khan was exceptional with the ball in hand.

Gujarat Titans (GT) hammered Rajasthan Royals (RR) by nine wickets in match number 48 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Friday, May 5. Batting first after winning the toss, Rajasthan Royals were bundled out for a disappointing 118 in 17.5 overs. Gujarat Titans gunned down the total in just 13.5 overs. Here are the player ratings for RR vs GT IPL 2023 match 48.

Gujarat Titans

Wriddhiman Saha (7/10): Ensured Gujarat got off to a confident start in the chase, killing any hopes of a RR fightback. Remained unbeaten on 41 off 34, hitting five fours.

Shubman Gill (6/10): Helped himself to 36 off 35 balls with the aid of six fours. Added 71 for the opening wicket with Wriddhiman Saha. Was stumped by Yuzvendra Chahal as he was foxed by the leggie.

Hardik Pandya (8.5/10): Got the massive wicket of Jos Buttler for 8. Was smart with his bowling changes. Played a scintillating knock with the willow, smacking three sixes and an equal number of fours in his unbeaten 39 off only 15 balls.

Abhinav Manohar (6/10): Did not bat but produced two stunning fielding efforts. His diving save resulted in the run out of Yashasvi Jaiswal. Scored a direct hit to run out Adam Zampa and end Rajasthan’s innings.

Rashid Khan (9.5/10): Was exceptional with the ball in hand. Spun a web around RR batters, getting the wickets of Ravichandran Ashwin, Riyan Parag and Shimron Hetmyer. Ended with excellent figures of 3/14 from his four overs.

Noor Ahmad (8.5/10): Also excelled with the ball. Cleaned up Devdutt Padikkal and trapped Dhruv Jurel leg before. Ended with figures of 2/25 from three overs.

Mohammed Shami (7/10): Bowled an economical spell. Conceded only 27 runs in his four overs. Knocked over Trent Boult with a yorker.

Joshua Little (7.5/10): Did a got job of keeping things tight, while also getting the big wicket of Sanju Samson. Ended with figures of 1/24 from his four overs.

Rajasthan Royals

Yashasvi Jaiswal (4/10): Was looking good again, but was run out for 14 off 11, following a horrible mix-up with skipper Sanju Samson.

Jos Buttler (2/10): Failed again. Sliced a catch off Hardik Pandya to short third man for 8.

Sanju Samson (5.5/10): Top-scored with 30 off 20 balls. Hit three fours and a six before perishing to Josh Little, miscuing a flick.

Devdutt Padikkal (3/10): Was bowled by a skidder for Noor Ahmad for a run-a-ball 12.

Shimron Hetmyer (2/10): Failed again. Was trapped lbw by Rashid Khan for 7 off 13.

Riyan Parag (1/10): Came in as the Impact Player, but made no impact. Failed to read a googly from Rashid Khan and was trapped right in front for 4.

Dhruv Jurel (3/10): Was trapped lbw by Noor Ahmad for 9 off 8 balls.

Ravichandran Ashwin (2/10): Was promoted in the batting order, only to be cleaned up by Rashid Khan for 2. Bowled one over for eight runs without claiming a wicket.

Trent Boult (4/10): Was expensive with the ball. Went for 28 runs in his three overs. Did not pick up a wicket.

Adam Zampa (2/10): Was also very expensive. Bowled three overs for 40 runs and did not claim a wicket. Was taken to the cleaners by Hardik Pandya.

Sandeep Sharma (7/10): Was economical again, though he failed to pick up a wicket. Ended with figures of 0/19 from three overs.

Yuzvendra Chahal (8/10): Was the only RR bowler to claim a wicket. Had Shubman Gill stumped and ended with figures of 1/22 from 3.5 overs. Could have made a bigger impact had the batters put up enough runs on the board.
