CSK vs SRH Player Battles 
Ravindra Jadeja was exceptional with the ball once again.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by seven wickets in match number 29 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday, April 21. Bowling first after winning the toss, Chennai held Sunrisers Hyderabad to 134 for 7 in 20 overs. They then chased down the target of 135 with ease in 18.4 overs. Here are the player ratings for the IPL 2023 match between CSK and SRH.

Chennai Super Kings 

Ruturaj Gaikwad (7/10): Contributed a defiant 35 off 30. Featured in an opening stand of 87 with Devon Conway. Was run out in unlucky fashion at the non-striker’s end.

Devon Conway (9/10): Notched up his third half-century in a row. Smashed an unbeaten 77 off only 57 balls to guide CSK to a comprehensive victory. Hit 12 fours and a six in his wonderful innings.

Ajinkya Rahane (2/10): Was out for 9 off 10, caught off Mayank Markande’s bowling.

Moeen Ali (4/10): Bowled two overs for 18 without claiming a wicket. Was not needed with the bat.

Ravindra Jadeja (9.5/10): Was exceptional with the ball once again, registering figures of 3/22. Dismissed Abhishek Sharma, Rahul Tripathi and Mayank Agarwal. Never allowed SRH batters to settle into any sort of rhythm.

MS Dhoni (6/10): Took a good catch to dismiss Aiden Markram. Stumped Mayank Agarwal off Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling.

Maheesh Theekshana (7/10): Got the big wicket of Aiden Markram. Kept things extremely tight to the end with figures of 1/27.

Tushar Deshpande (4.5/10): Bowled three overs for 26 runs. Did not claim a wicket.

Akash Singh (7/10): Got the big scalp of Harry Brook. Bowled three overs for 17 runs.

Matheesha Pathirana (7/10): Impressed once again. Dismissed Heinrich Klaasen and ended with figures of 1/22.

Sunrisers Hyderabad

Harry Brook (4/10): Got off to a confident start. Hit three fours in his 18 before falling to Akash Singh.

Mayank Agarwal (1/10): Registered yet another low score. Danced down the track to Ravindra Jadeja and was stumped quite easily.

Rahul Tripathi (5/10): Looked good during his run-a-ball 21. Fell to Ravindra Jadeja, top-edging a slog sweep.

Aiden Markram (3/10): Played a disappointing knock. Was out for a run-a-ball 12, caught behind off Maheesh Theekshana. 

Heinrich Klaasen (4.5/10): Looked good for his 17 before perishing in his endeavor to take on CSK fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana.

Abhishek Sharma (7/10): Top-scored for SRH with 34 off 26 balls. Struck three fours and a six before being caught at long-on off Ravindra Jadeja’s bowling.

Washington Sundar (4/10): Was run out for 9 off 6. Bowled 2.4 overs for 16 without claiming a wicket.

Marco Jansen (3/10): Scored an unbeaten 17 off 22 to ensure SRH at least crossed 130. Was taken apart by Devon Conway, who clobbered him for four fours and a six in an over. Ended with disappointing figures of 0 for 37 from three overs.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar (5/10): Bowled two overs for 10 runs without picking up a wicket.

Mayank Markande (8/10): Excelled with the ball once again. Registered figures of 2/23 in his four overs, getting wickets of Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu.

Umran Malik (4.5/10): Bowled three overs for 18 but went wicketless. Was lucky to run out Ruturaj Gaikwad as he got a finger on the ball in his follow-through. 

Mayank Dagar (4/10): Came in as the Impact Player. Bowled three overs for 21 without claiming a wicket.
