Was back to his best. Picked up two scalps and conceded only 21. Sent back Rohit Sharma and Krunal Pandya.

Ravi Bishnoi (9/10)

Made an instant impact in his first game. Had identical figures to Mohammed Shami. Dismissed Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav.

Chris Gayle (8.5/10)

Came in and gave good company to KL Rahul. Just when it seemed the pressure was building after Mayank Agarwal’s dismissal, hit an unbeaten 43 off 35 with two five sixes and two fours. Was there at the end with Rahul as PBKS romped home.

Moises Henriques (7/10)

Opened the bowling and kept things extremely tight. Did not get a wicket, but conceded only 12 in his three overs.

Mayank Agarwal (6.5/10)

Got PBKS off to a good start with the bat. Eased his way to 25 with a few fluent boundaries but could not carry on.

Deepak Hooda (6/10)

Bowled three overs for 15, throttling the opponents. Got the wicket of Quinton de Kock.

Arshdeep Singh (5/10)

Bowled a good ball to dismiss Hardik Pandya. Went for 28 in three overs.

Was expensive on a responsive pitch. Went for 30 in his three.

Rohit Sharma (9/10)

Held the innings together for MI. Was the best batsman on display for the team. Made a well-compiled 63 in 45 balls to give his side a competitive total on a tough Chennai track.

Bowled an excellent spell, giving away on 19 runs in his four overs. Took the only wicket to fall in the PBKS innings, getting rid of Mayank Agarwal for 25.

Suryakumar Yadav (7/10)

Got another start but failed to convert it. Was dismissed for 33 from 27, trying to take on Ravi Bishnoi.

Jayant Yadav (6.5/10)

Bowled well without much luck. Was hit for a few big shots by Chris Gayle but also beat him multiple times without finding the edge.

Bowled his three overs for 21. Did not have many runs to make an impact.

Failed to get going again. Was out for 3 trying to break free.

Ishan Kishan (2/10)

Was promoted to number three, but found the going very tough. Made 6 off 17 balls, perished to Ravi Bishnoi trying to cut him.

Hardik Pandya (1/10)

Had another poor match. Was out for 1, trying to take on Arshdeep Singh.
