Was excellent with the bat. Batted through the 20 overs and remained unbeaten on 95 from only 60 balls. Blasted nine fours and four sixes and was instrumental in CSK posting a mammoth total of 220 for 3.

Deepak Chahar (9.5/10)

Was exceptional once again. Ran through the KKR top and middle-order to finish with figures of 4 for 29. Dismissed Nitish Rana, Shubman Gill, Eoin Morgan and Sunil Narine to cut scuttle KKR’s chase.

Lungi Ngidi (9/10)

Made a wonderful return to the team. Picked up three wickets and gave away only 28 in a high-scoring contest. Took key wickets to keep CSK ahead in the game.

Ruturaj Gaikwad (8/10)

Roared back to form with a brilliant half-century. Scored a stroke-filled 64 from 42, hitting six fours and four sixes. Featured in a century stand for the opening wicket with Faf du Plessis.

Ravindra Jadeja (7/10)

Hit the only ball he faced during the innings for six. Bowled his four over for 33. Took another good catch in the field.

Moeen Ali (6/10)

Once again chipped in with a fine cameo. Contributed 25 off only 12 before being stumped. Did not bowl.

MS Dhoni (6/10)

Promoted himself up to number four and scored a quick 17 off 8 to keep the momentum in tact.

Sam Curran (5/10)

Picked up the big wicket of Andre Russell before being hammered brutally by Pat Cummins for 30 runs in an over.

Shardul Thakur (3/10)

Was highly expensive. Conceded 48 in 3.1 overs. Was smashed for three sixes in an over by Andre Russell.

Kolkata Knight Riders

Pat Cummins (9/10)

Was hammered all over the park and went for 58 in his four overs. But played a sensational knock with the bat. Blasted an unbeaten 66 off only 34 balls and raised serious hopes of a miraculous win before running out of partners.

Andre Russell (8/10)

Bowled two overs. Proved ineffective. Was taken for 27. Came back with the bat and hit a blazing half-century. Briefly raised KKR’s hopes before being dismissed in bizarre fashion to Sam Curran.

Varun Chakravarthy (7/10)

Was the best KKR bowler on display. Dismissed the well-set Ruturaj Gaikwad and conceded only 27 in his four overs.

Dinesh Karthik (7/10)

Tried his very best. Hit two sixes and scored 40 off 24. Fell just when his team needed him to carry on.

Sunil Narine (6/10)

Had Moeen Ali stumped. Amid the carnage, escaped with 34 in his four overs. Did not contribute with the bat.

Kamlesh Nagarkoti (4/10)

Proved expensive. Was taken for 25 in his two overs.

Prasidh Krishna (3/10)

Was erratic. Bowled two no balls and was taken for 49 in his four.

Nitish Rana (2/10)

Fell early to Deepak Chahar, contributing only nine in a massive chase.

Rahul Tripathi (2/10)

Managed only 8 in the chase, falling to Lungi Ngidi.

Eoin Morgan (2/10)

Had another poor match with the bat. Was out for 7, caught behind off Deepak Chahar.

Shubman Gill (0/10)

Fell for a duck in a big chase. Was poor in the field as well.
