Apart from battling it out in a 22-yard (20-metre) pitch, over the years, there have been some cricketers who have also found their life partners in and around the cricketing field

While representing their respective national teams or franchises, players often get hinged to a particular individual perhaps kick-starting an all-new journey, off the field.

Earlier this week, Team India pacer Jasprit Bumrah tied the knot with the well-known TV presenter and model, Sanjana Ganesan. The wedding took place on March 15 in an intimate ceremony in Goa.

However, Bumrah isn’t the only cricketer who has tied the knot with a sports anchor. Having said that, here are 6 cricketers who have also married sports presenters:

6. Stuart Binny – Mayanti Langer

Stuart Binny, son of India’s 1983 World Cup winning all-rounder Roger Binny, had tied knots with Television and sports anchor, Mayanti Langer, in September 2012. Mayanti has hosted several events for Star Sports, including the 2019 ICC World Cup and the Indian Premier League as well.

Last year in August, Mayanti gave birth to their first child and had missed the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League in the UAE. While Stuart recently played his 100 List-A game, Mayanti is unlikely to return to Star Sports’ panel for the upcoming season of the IPL.

5. Ben Cutting – Erin Holland

After cancelling their marriage twice due to the COVID-19, Australian all-rounder Ben Cutting and his fiancé Erin Holland who is a TV host tied knots earlier this year on February 13th. The pair got hitched together in Byron Bay, New South Wales.

Interestingly, Erin, in 2013, was crowned Miss World Australia but also was awarded the Miss World Continental Queen of Beauty, Oceania. Apart from being a TV presenter and model, Erin is also known for her dancing and singing skills. Moreover, she has also actively got associated herself with charity events.

The couple’s wedding was a two-day affair where Ben was seen dressed in an Alex Goodman Custom while Erin was seen wearing three different J’Aton couture creations. Cutting will now be seen in action during IPL 2021 where he will ply his trade for the Kolkata Knight Riders.

4. Shane Watson – Lee Furlong

Former Australian all=rounder, Shane Watson, who announced his retirement from all formats of the game after the conclusion of the IPL last year, has been happily married for a decade to famous Australian TV anchor, Lee Furlong.

According to local media, it was speculated that Watson had first met Lee in 2004 but it was until 2006 that the couple started their relationship journey. As of now, the couple is blessed with two children, having tied knots on June 3, 2010.

Ever since being hitched to each other, Watson and Lee have been actively involved in charity events with the latter also serving as an ambassador for the McGrath Foundation, which raises awareness of which raises money to place Nurses in communities across Australia and increase breast health awareness.

3. Morne Morkel – Roz Kelly

Former South African pacer is happily married to Roz Kelly who is a television reporter at Australia’s Channel 9. The lanky pacer had proposed to Roz during the 2014 edition of the IPL in UAE.

Kelly had started working as a freelancer in South Africa after their marriage. However, she is again back covering cricket with Australia’s Channel Nine and it’s been two years since the lovebirds have started their new life Down Under.

Meanwhile, Morne, who did retire from international cricket back in 2018, recently received his Australian passport and was signed as a local player by the Brisbane Heat for the BBL 10 last year. As of now, the couple has two sons.

2. Martin Guptill – Laura McGoldrick

Martin Guptill and Laura McGoldrick have been happily married since 2014. Apart from hosting shows for Sky Sports New Zealand, Laura is a Radio host and actress. Laura, 30, was born in Christchurch but studied Performing Arts at Unitec University in Auckland.

The pair had first met when the multi-talented Laura had gone to interview Martin for a show called ‘The cricket show’. The show is also believed to be a breakthrough event in her career as a sports presenter. In 2017, the couple was also blessed with a baby girl named ‘Harley’.

1. Shaun Marsh – Rebecca O’Donovan

A week prior to IPL 2015, Shaun Marsh married Channel 7 journalist Rebecca O’Donovan, now Rebecca Marsh. Rebecca, a former Miss Universe, is also the sister of the Australian animator, voice-over artist, and social media personality, Ross O’Donovan.

Shaun proposed to Rebecca in 2013 and the latter was so excited that she immediately shared the news on social media. The couple waited for more than a year before they tied the knots on April 2, 2015, in Perth. As of now, Shaun and Rebecca have three kids.
