Cricket fans got frustrated after selectors backed Rishabh Pant despite several poor performances with bat and gloves while Samson was omitted from India’s squad for no reason.
The Kerala lad Samson was picked for Bangladesh T20I series after he smashed a double ton in a domestic game and played a match-winning knock against South Africa A this year.
Even after being in the squad, the 25-year-old Samson was not given a chance to play even a single match out of three T20Is against Bangladesh.
Fans and experts have lashed out the selection panel over the exclusion of the in-form wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson and retention of out-of-form Rishabh Pant.
