New Delhi: On Tuesday, February 20, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma took to Instagram to announce the birth of their second child, a baby boy named ‘Akaay’.

Several renowned figures across fields congratulated the duo, while the fans rejoiced in happiness. Even, several Instagaram handles were active with Akaay Kohli’s name minutes after Kohli revealed the name of his son.
The excitement of the birth of Virat’s second child was not only contained till India, rather fans in Pakistan too expressed their joy and congratulated the couple. Few fans even distributed sweets on this occasion.
The fans didn’t just congratulate Virat on the birth of his baby boy but also backed Akaay to break his father’s cricketing records on the field.
Fans in Pakistan hope Virat Kohli’s son Akaay will follow in his father’s footsteps, just as Arjun Tendulkar has followed his father Sachin Tendulkar. Here is a video of fans distributing sweets to celebrate.
“With abundant happiness and our hearts full of love, we are pleased to inform everyone that on 15th February, we welcomed our baby boy Akaay & Vamika’s little brother into this world! “We seek your blessings and good wishes in this beautiful time in our lives. We request you to kindly respect our privacy at this time.” Kohli had initially opted out of the first two Tests of the ongoing five-match series against England, citing personal reasons. He later withdrew from the last three Tests also,” wrote Virat and Anushka on their post.
The word ‘Akaay’ has several meanings. In Sanskrit language, the name Akaay means ‘immortal’ or something that does not decay. Meanwhile, it also means a shining moon in Turkish language.
