Ambati Rayudu and Virat KOhli - Crictoday
MSK Prasad gives a befitting reply to Rayudu

Ambati Rayudu and former chief selector MSK Prasad have been in the news for the last couple of days after Rayudu opened up on the details of his snub from the 2019 World Cup and accused the selectors of intentionally ignoring him.

Ambati, who recently retired from all forms of cricket after CSK’s fifth IPL win, gave an exclusive interview where he revealed that he had issues with MSK Prasad, who was the chief selector during the 2019 World Cup, which is why he was ignored.

In the recent events, Prasad has hit back at Rayudu and stated that there were four other selectors and captain Virat Kohli, who had the power in their hands.

“Everyone is aware that the selection committee has five selectors, and then there is the captain sitting in the selection committee room. How can a single person’s decision be taken? “It is a collective decision. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have five people sitting on the committee.”

Further, Rayudu remarked that during his domestic stint with Andhra in 2005, he had differences with then-skipper MSK Prasad.

The 48-year-old reacted to his differences with Rayudu and stated, “In a team, differences do occur in a long season. There can be a difference of opinion between brothers, but one cannot carry such differences for a long period.”
