Former India and Chennai Super Kings player, Suresh Raina, is joining Lucknow Super Giants as mentor. He will replace Gautam Gambhir, who left the franchise to return to the Kolkata Knight Riders for IPL 2024.
The news was confirmed by Raina on X. He reacted to a tweet of one of the sports journalists, who had accused another Twitter handle of spreading fake news about the southpaw.
Raina was sensational during his IPL days and played a key role in Chennai Super Kings’ success in the tournament.
In 205 IPL matches, he scored 5528 runs with the help of 1 hundred and 39 fifties. He hit 506 fours and 203 sixes. Raina took 25 wickets as well.
