Pakistan captain Babar Azam won the ICC Men’s Cricketer of the Year and the Men’s ODI Cricketer of the Year 2022. Babar scored more than 2500 runs in international cricket across formats last year.
Babar’s success in international cricket has led to his comparison with former India captain Virat Kohli. However, Misbah-ul-Haq said it is too early to compare the two-star players.
During an interaction with the media, Misbah stated that Kohli has played more cricket than Babar.
“There shouldn’t be any comparison between the two, as Babar has just started. You can make a comparison when he plays the same amount of cricket. Kohli has been active for a long time, and no one, including Babar, can match him. Babar is a class player and will achieve great things like Kohli in the future, but at the moment, the comparison doesn’t hold any importance,” Misbah said in a video posted by paktv.tv.
Earlier, Salman Butt said the same thing when he was asked about the two greats of the game.
