After the success of the first season of South Africa’s premier domestic league SA20, Cricket South Africa are certain that they will facilitate the 2nd season around the same time.
The second season of SA20, which will feature the likes of Kagiso Rabada, Anrich Nortje, Marco Jansen and others, is likely to take place in the first week of January. However, to do so, the board would again postpone or cancel a bilateral series.

Notably, South Africa will host New Zealand around that time, and as per the recent reports, Cricket South Africa will either field a second-string side or postpone the series.
South Africa want the New Zealand tour to be pushed to mid-February, but the black-caps will host Australia around that time and then the players would leave for the Indian Premier League. Earlier, South Africa withdrew from the ODI series against Australia last year to facilitate the inaugural edition of SA20.
The preparations for the 2nd edition of SA20 would begin in September when players would undergo the hammer at the mini-auctions.
