Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain Shikhar Dhawan played one of the best innings of his IPL career against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the Indian Premier League 2023. Despite the regular fall of wickets from the other end, Dhawan stayed unbeaten till the end, accumulating 99 off 66 balls, laced with 12 fours and 5 sixes.
PBKS, who have won two games in a row, posted 143/9 in 20 overs. They could have folded below 100, but their skipper led from the front and slammed bowlers for boundaries when needed. Dhawan is one of the legendary batters in the tournament, having scored more than 6,000 runs.
Despite his consistency, the Southpaw doesn’t play for Team India in any format. Fans hailed him for his unbelievable batting against the Aiden Markram-led franchise.
