In a late-night drama in Bangladesh cricket, current captain Shakib Al Hasan refused to play in the ICC World Cup 2023 if unfit Tamim Iqbal travels with the team to India.
The two met with the BCB President, where Tamim informed him that he was not fully fit to play all the games and would only consider playing in 5 clashes.
This didn’t go down well with Shakib, who threatened to leave the team if Tamim went to the World Cup.
The two have been at loggerheads for a long team and Tamim also announced retirement from one-day internationals. However, after meeting with the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, he took the decision back.
