The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) will have to name a depleted squad for the white-ball tour of Bangladesh as several players will play in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
England are due to play three ODIs and as many T20Is in March. The tour was initially planned for October 2022, but the ECB and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) agreed to postpone the games.
Alex Hales has already decided to honor his contract with Islamabad United instead of playing for the country.
Sam Billings, Liam Dawson, and James Vince will also compete in PSL. Will Jacks, who has shown form in SA20, has been roped in by Quetta Gladiators as an injury replacement.
With the Test series against New Zealand finishing on February 28, Harry Brook, Joe Root, Olly Stone, and Ben Duckett could also opt out of the upcoming tour as they have been named in the ODI matches against the Kiwis.
Jonny Bairstow and Liam Livingstone are still recovering from their respective injuries and will only return before the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023.
