The controversy involving Indian cricketer Prithvi Shaw and social media influencer Sapna Gill doesn’t end. On Monday, Gill filed a complaint with Mumbai Airport Police Station against Shaw and his friend, Ashish Yadav, whose car was damaged during a scuffle between the two groups.
This comes after the Magistrate Court gave Sapna bail. She said that Prithvi and his friends provoked them. The incident happened after Shaw refused to click more selfies with Sapna Gill in a Mumbai hotel.
The influencer’s complaint has been registered under sections 34 (criminal act with common intention), 120B (criminal conspiracy), 146 (rioting), 148 (rioting with armed weapons), 149 (unlawful assembly offence committed in prosecution), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 324 (voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons), 351 (use of criminal force), 354 (outrage of modesty) and 509 (advantage of proximity, gesture to outrage modesty) of the Indian Penal code.
According to Gill, Shaw was drunk and threw her friend Shobhit Thakur’s phone on the floor when he urged the player for a selfie. She further added that Shaw and his friends started beating Thakur, and she begged them not to assault him.
At the time, Shaw allegedly inappropriately touched Sapna Gill and pushed her, as per Gill.
Meanwhile, Prithvi Shaw has slapped a case of extortion against Sapna Gill.
