Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant is steadily recovering from a severe car crash he endured in December last year. He has been sharing health updates on his social media accounts. In a recent video, he attempts to climb stairs, showing progress in his journey to full fitness.
He posted two videos, one struggling to climb and another showing improved ease. Pant previously shared a video of himself walking without crutches.
Pant’s post drew reactions from teammates Axar Patel and Harleen Deol. Axar expressed support with emojis, while Deol applauded his efforts. Fans on Twitter speculated about Pant’s return to action and lamented his absence in the World Test Championship Final.
Due to the injuries from the car crash, Pant’s recovery is expected to keep him out of action for the year. The Delhi Capitals felt his absence in the IPL, and he was missed in India’s middle order during the WTC Final.
Pant visited the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi and interacted with under-16 players at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru.
He began rehabilitation at the NCA in April after the car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway. Pant was airlifted to Mumbai for specialized care. As a result, he is ruled out of the ongoing IPL and international cricket.
