India star Prithvi Shaw, who led the Boys in Blue to U-19 World Cup glory in 2018, continued his dominance in the domestic circuit as the 23-year-old smashed his maiden triple century in the ongoing Ranji Trophy match against Assam.
On day 2 of the ongoing match against Assam at the Amingaon Cricket Ground in Guwahati, Shaw was dismissed after scoring 379, including 49 fours and 4 sixes.
Yesterday, Shaw completed his hundred in 107 balls and a double hundred from 235 balls.
With the feat, Shaw registered the 2nd best individual score in the Ranji Trophy and the highest by a Mumbai player as he surpassed Sanjay Manjrekar’s record-breaking 377-run innings for Bombay against Hyderabad in the 1990-91 season.
Shaw has been in the news for not being able to grab selectors’ attention, but he hopes this innings will change his career.
