Virat Kohli IND vs AUS
Kohli overcame his poor form in white-ball cricket in 2022, but the wait hasn't ended in the longest format.

Nitin Menon controversially gave Virat Kohli out during the first innings of the second Test between India and Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He went for the DRS but didn’t get any respite.

An arm ball by debutant Kuhnemann hit Virat in front of the stumps. There was a doubt about whether the ball hit the bat first or the pad. However, TV umpire Illingworth reckoned it hit the pad first, and the on-field umpire’s call stood.

Kohli, who was batting on 44, was unhappy with the decision, and Team India’s coaches, Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathour, were also surprised.

Team India’s fans slammed the umpire for his call. Here are some of the reactions.

Meanwhile, Nathan Lyon took 5 wickets to keep the hosts on the back foot. He dismantled the top order with the wickets of KL Rahul, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, and Shreyas Iyer. Lyon returned to get rid of Srikar Bharat.
