MS Dhoni is the greatest captain in the history of T20 cricket, feels Tom Moody and Sanjay Manjrekar. Dhoni will play his 250th IPL game when Chennai Super Kings take on Gujarat Titans in the final at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Speaking on ESPNcricinfo, Moody said Dhoni is the greatest captain to play T20 cricket.
“Dhoni is the greatest. He has been remarkable as a captain in this format of the game. However, if you talk about Test cricket, I wouldn’t name him in that list,” said Tom Moody.
Sanjay Manjrekar also agreed with Moody’s views and said that no one could challenge Dhoni in the shortest format of the game. In ODIs and Test cricket, he named Arjuna Ranatunga, Kapil Dev and Steve Waugh.
“Arjun Ranatunga, Steve Waugh and Kapil Dev were good in other formats. However, Dhoni has no competition in T20 cricket,” he said.
