Anvay Dravid, the son of Rahul Dravid, will lead the Karnataka U-14 team in an interzonal tournament. He plays junior cricket for the state and has often given match-winning performances with the bat.

Interestingly, Anvay is also a wicketkeeper batter. Rahul Dravid also played as a keeper for Team India for a certain period. Sourav Ganguly had suggested Dravid to take up wicket-keeping in order to keep his place intact in one-day internationals.

Anvay is a newcomer and needs time to settle down. Dravid’s elder son, Samit is also a cricketer. He was in the limelight when he hit two double hundreds in the 2019/20 season at the U-14 level.

Dravid is currently coaching Team India across formats. The Men in Blue defeated New Zealand by 12 runs in the first ODI of a three-match series.
