Veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik said that India can rest Suryakumar Yadav and include Sanju Samson in his place for the third and final T20I against New Zealand on Tuesday, November 22, at McLean Park in Napier.
SKY was named the Man of the Match for his unbeaten 51-ball 111 in the second game at Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui. Karthik said it would be unfair if the management dropped other players as they haven’t played much cricket recently.
Karthik feels Sanju Samson can play the pacers well in Napier. “The only player he can replace is Suryakumar Yadav. He can take a break and play in the ODIs. The rest of the players haven’t played many games, so dropping them would be unfair,” he said.
“Samson can play as he can tackle the conditions in Napier. I would love to see Samson instead of Suryakumar Yadav,” Karthik said on Cricbuzz.
