Mohammad Kaif has lauded Virat Kohli for his innings of 44 runs in the first innings of the second Test against Australia in Delhi. The former captain was looking set for a big one but was controversially given out by Nitin Menon.
India were in trouble when Kohli came to the crease. The veteran stopped the fall of wickets and got the scorecard ticking.
Kaif feels kids should watch Kohli’s innings to learn about the technique.
“If a kid wants to learn about technique in Test matches, you see Virat Kohli’s 44 innings vs AUS, you should play like this, whether you score runs or not is a different thing, but I am talking about the approach and organized batting on turning track.”
India won the second Test by 6 wickets to take a 2-0 lead in the four-match Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Ravindra Jadeja was named the Player of the Match.
Earlier, the hosts won the opening contest by an innings and 132 runs in Nagpur.
