Sarfaraz Ahmed brought up his 4th consecutive fifty

On the last day of the final Test between Pakistan and New Zealand, Sarfaraz Ahmed silenced his critics with a brilliant fifty to keep Pakistan alive in the series.

The Babar Azam-led side ended the play on day 4 with 0/2 and required 319 to win on the final day with eight wickets in hand. The Blackcaps started day five positively as they got three quick wickets.

Sarfaraz Ahmed and Saud Shakeel rose to the occasion and stitched an unbeaten 100-run stand to keep Pakistan alive in the match and drift the game towards a draw.

Former Pakistan skipper Sarfaraz, who returned to the Test side after nearly four years, scored his fourth consecutive fifty, and also brought up his fourth Test hundred.

Sarfaraz scored 86,53,78, and 103* in the series and rescued Pakistan from difficult situations on all occasions. The 35-year-old now is 3rd on the list for most consecutive 50+ scores by Pakistani wicketkeeper and is eyeing to equal his own record.
