Former West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo has announced his retirement from the Caribbean Premier League. He will hang up his boots after playing in CPL 2024. DJ Bravo has been a star performer in T20 Leagues worldwide. He played for Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Lions, and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. The all-rounder has taken over 600 wickets in T20 Cricket.

The veteran took to social media to make the announcement.

“It’s been an incredible journey. Today, I would like to announce my retirement from @cplt20. This season will be my last one ☝, and I’m looking forward to playing my final professional tournament in front of my Caribbean people! @tkriders – where it all started for me and will end with my team that I help build from scratch!

Bravo played for two franchises in CPL – St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots and Trinbago Knight Riders, dismissing 128 batters in 94 innings.

Dwayne Bravo played his last international game in 2021

Dwayne Bravo announced his retirement from international cricket in 2021 after the West Indies failed to defend their title in the ICC T20 World Cup 2021. He had hanged up his boots in 2018 but came out of retirement to play for the national team. He also announced his retirement from IPL after the Chennai Super Kings won their fifth title.

Bravo was Afghanistan’s bowling mentor in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, and the team made it to the semi-finals for the first time under his guidance.
