Virat Kohli Cheteshwar Pujara WTC team
Cricket fans worldwide are excited as Cricket Australia (CA) has revealed the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Team of the Tournament.

Cheteshwar Pujara scored his 19th Test century in 130 balls, his fastest in the longest format. He hit 12 fours, and while he took 87 balls for his first 50, the right-handed batter hit the next fifty in 43 deliveries.

Fans were surprised to see Pujara going after bowlers. India’s senior wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik feels it was a situation-based knock from the legendary batter.

When asked if Pujara’s knock is timely as the IPL auction is around, Karthik said the Indian batter has moved on from his interest in participating in the Indian Premier League.

“He has no keenness on playing in the IPL. Pujara has realized that IPL is not his cup of tea after facing several rejections. He spends a lot of time in England, honing his skills and playing cricket. He doesn’t have anything to prove. Pujara is enjoying his game,” said Karthik on Cricbuzz.

“He will again go out in the summer to play in England. Chesteshwar takes his family along and carved a niche for himself there. He is still progressing as a cricketer. When you know that there is a battle you can’t win, you need to move on to other venues,” he added.
