BCCI annual contract Jasprit Bumrah Shikhar Dhawan
Bumrah's presence in the A+ contract was questioned as he hasn't played for India since last year.

On Sunday, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Annual Player Contracts list for the Men in Blue for the period of October 2022 to September 2023. The list of 26 players has been divided into four categories. The apex body of Indian cricket was slammed for wasting money on some players.

Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel were given promotions, as the former was included in the top bracket. On the other hand, Axar got a Grade A. However, Bumrah’s presence in the A+ contract was questioned as he hasn’t played for India since last year.

Fans were also livid at Umran not getting the contract despite being one of the most improved bowlers. He has played 17 white-ball matches, picking 24 wickets.

The supports also lambasted the BCCI for including Shikhar Dhawan in the list. Southpaw doesn’t play international cricket after being dropped from the team long back.
