Aakash Chopra feels India should play Sanju Samson in the third and final ODI against New Zealand. The game will be played in Christchurch on Wednesday, November 30. The Kiwis lead the series 1-0 after winning the first contest by 7 wickets, with the second match being called off due to rain.
“Give a game to Kuldeep Yadav and play Umran Malik for sure. Play Deepak Hooda and include Sanju Samson as well. If you don’t play Samson, you will face a lot of criticism. Be ready for that if you don’t play him,” he said.
However, he admitted that there would be a selection issue if the management includes both Samson and Hooda.
“If you play Samson and Hooda, you must drop Rishabh Pant. You can’t rest Suryakumar as he is not a part of the next series. So there will be selection issues for VVS Laxman and Shikhar Dhawan.”
