After skipper Virat Kohli, Vice-captain Rohit Sharma and spin ace Kuldeep Yadav, it was Mohammed Shami’s turn to make debut on Chahal TV. The Indian pacer was adjudged Man of the Match for his performance in the third ODI win against New Zealand.
He opened up about the atmosphere in the dressing room. During the interview, Chahal revealed Shami’s dressing room name as well. He referred him as Lalaji.

“We have to see that how much we are enjoying or how much we are focusing on our fitness. Since we are enjoying each other’s company in the dressing room, it is showing in our performances as well. I think the dressing room environment is helping me,” said Shami.
“From pulling each other’s leg to having a relaxed time helps a player come fresh on the field. It helps a lot if the environment around makes you feel at home,” the pacer added.
Shami stated that he and Bhuvneshwar Kumar look to keep it tight in the early overs before wrist spinners are brought into attack by Virat Kohli.
“Bhuvi and I just look to bowl tight in the first few overs before both of you wrist spinners come and take wickets for the team,” added Shami.
