Amidst the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Team India will travel Down Under to take on Australia, late November, for a full-fledged tour. Despite the current health crisis, series are lined up one after the other for the teams.
India will leave for Australia after the conclusion of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) on November 10. As per reports, all formalities have been completed, and the ‘Men in Blue’ will arrive in Sydney on November 12, and will stay there for a month.
The Virat Kohli-led side is expected to fly Down Under via a chartered flight either on November 11 or 12. It has been revealed that a 32-man contingent, along with support staff, would travel in one shift.
Considering the current scenario, the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) has already asked coach Ravi Shastri along with the whole support staff to touch Dubai before the end of this month.
After reaching Sydney, players will move into a 12-day quarantine straightaway. However, the players will be allowed to train at the Sydney Cricket Ground.
As per several reports, the ODI and T20I series will be played in either Sydney and Canberra. Also, the white-ball series’ would take place during November 26-December 8.
Adelaide (17 December), MCG (December 26), SCG (January 7), and Gabba (15 January) have been finalized as venues for the Test series.
In the meanwhile, it is also coming to notice that India hasn’t received any clothing sponsor after Nike’s contract ended last month. As things stand, Virat Kohli and his men will be flying Down Under, without a kit sponsor.
