“We’re gonna bat first as the wicket looks good. It is a lot dry and could be a bit tacky. It is important to put runs on the board, and we are not taking anything for granted. We are fortunate to play games over here,” Aiden Markram said.
India skipper Suryakumar Yadav would have batted first as well.
“We were looking to bat first. There was something in the wicket when we played last time over here. It is important to take advantage of it. We will follow the good habits, and the result will take care of itself,” he said.
