Perth Scorchers defeated the Sydney Sixers by 4 wickets in the final to win their sixth Big Bash League title. Chasing 133 runs to lift the trophy, PS reached the target in 17.3 overs, with Josh Inglis (29) and Cooper Connolly (4) remaining unbeaten for the best side in the history of the league.
Australia’s T20I captain Mitchell Marsh was the star of the run chase, amassing 44 runs off 43 balls, including 4 fours and 2 sixes. He added 88 runs with New Zealand batter Finn Allen for the first wicket in 8.1 overs, setting the platform for a win.
