Royal Challengers women lost 4 wickets for 43 runs in 5.3 overs and were in danger of getting dismissed below the 150-run mark against Gujarat Giants in Match 9 of the WPL 2026. However, the two Team India regulars, Radha Yadav and Richa Ghosh, bailed the team out of a tricky situation to take the total to 182/7 in the allotted 20 overs at the DY Patil Stadium on January 16.
Radha Yadav accumulated 66 runs off 47 balls, laced with 6 boundaries and 3 sixes. Richa Ghosh posted 44 runs off 28 deliveries, including 4 boundaries and 2 maximums. The two added 105 runs for the fifth wicket.
The final touches were provided by all-rounder Nadine de Klerk, who accumulated 26 runs off 12 balls, including 2 fours and 2 sixes.
GG bowlers proved expensive, with RCB taking advantage of the loose deliveries. Sophie Devine, the New Zealand all-rounder, took three wickets.
