India batter Virat Kohli was seen with wife Anushka Sharma after arriving at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport on Sunday, December 14. Kohli was wearing a black T-shirt and cream-coloured trousers, with Anushka alongside him.
Kohli was also seen at a private airport in Mumbai on Saturday after a standout three-match ODI series against South Africa, where he finished as the Player of the Series. He reached Delhi at a time when Lionel Messi is expected in the city on Monday as part of the final leg of his India visit. A video from the Delhi airport shows Kohli arriving with Anushka.
Kohli is set to feature in the three-match ODI contest against New Zealand from January 11 in Vadodara. He was in prime touch in the South Africa ODIs, where he bagged Player of the Series and helped India clinch the series 2 1.
The right-hander finished the series with 302 runs in three innings at an average of 151 with scores of 135, 102 and 65*. He is the No.2 batted in the ICC Rankings for Batters.
With Kohli and Rohit currently featuring in only one international format, every assignment becomes an opportunity to amass runs and strengthen their 2027 World Cup case. Meanwhile, India are in the middle of a five-match T20I series at home against South Africa, with the contest level at 1-1 after two games.
