Vaibhav Suryavanshi continues to dominate the bowlers. The 14-year-old batter was sensational in the India vs UAE U-19 clash. He reached his fifty in 30 balls and completed the ton in 56 deliveries. He didn’t stop and posted 150 runs in 84 balls. Vaibhav was dismissed after amassing 171 runs, which included 14 sixes. He broke two Asia Cup records.
Earlier, Afghanistan’s Darwish Rasooli had smashed 10 maximums in an innings against the UAE in the U-19 Asia Cup match in 2017. But the young Indian batter now holds the record for the most sixes in an innings. Suryavanshi now has the record for the most sixes overall in the U-19 Asia Cup. Rasooli (22) was the previous record holder. Vaibhav has hit 26 sixes so far.

Meanwhile, India posted a record-breaking 433/6 against the United Arab Emirates in the U19 Asia Cup 2025 opener on Friday.
Aaron George and Vihaan Malhotra hit fifties. India hold the world record for the most 400+ runs in Youth ODIs. Apart from the recent instance, they scored 425/3 against Scotland in 2004 and 405/5 against Uganda in 2022.
Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lanka are the other teams that have managed to go past the 400-run mark. The record for the highest team total in Youth ODIs is with Australia, who posted 480/6 against Kenya in 2002.
India are clear favourites for the title in the U-19 Asia Cup, and their performance shows the depth of their talent.
