England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt won the toss and chose to bowl first against South Africa in the 1st Semi-Final of the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

Toss Decision – Captain’s Comments & Reasoning

“We would like to bowl first, as putting early pressure with the ball and then chasing comfortably under lights are going to be important. We’re going in with the same team. It’s all about trusting the process, believing in our preparation, and enjoying the moment,” Nat Sciver-Brunt said

“We were also looking to bowl first. We are playing an extra batter today, with Bosch coming in for Klaas. Hopefully, we can put up a strong total with the bat. At the end of the day, it’s all about getting the win,” Laura Wolvaardt said.
