Ishan Kishan went berserk against Rajasthan Royals in his franchise’s first match of the Indian Premier League 2025. Making his debut for Sunrisers Hyderabad, the southpaw played strokes to every part of the ground and completed the first hundred of the 18th season of the tournament. He faced 45 balls and hit 10 fours and 6 sixes to complete a century at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
It was a befitting reply to Ajit Agarkar’s selection committee, which has kept Kishan out of the national team despite his impressive domestic cricket performances. After refusing to play Ranji Trophy matches in 2023-24, the decision-makers didn’t include him in Team India across formats, and the batter was not offered the central contract.
