Jadeja, who has been with Chennai for 12 years, will enter the record books. He can become the first all-rounder in IPL’s history to score 3000 runs and take 150 wickets.

Jadeja, who played for Rajasthan Royals in 2008, has amassed 2959 runs and dismissed 160 batters in 240 matches. He needs 41 runs to touch the 3000-run mark in the tournament.

He played for Kochi Tuskers Kerala in IPL 2011 before joining CSK in 2012. Jadeja played for Gujarat Lions in IPL 2016 and 2017 when Chennai were banned. When the franchise returned to the league in 2018, he returned to the champion side.

He was their captain in IPL 2022 but was sacked after eight matches due to poor results. Dhoni replaced him in the middle of the season. CSK retained him for INR 18 crore for IPL 2025.
