Bangladesh batters dominated the rival bowlers, leading to verbal slugfest between Pakistan’s captain and head coach.

The ongoing Test series is Gillespie’s first assignment as Pakistan’s head coach in red-ball cricket.

After Pakistan posted 448/6 in their first innings, Bangladesh accumulated 565, taking a lead of 117.

Bangladesh have never won a Test against Pakistan, losing 12 of the 13 red-ball games. At a press conference, Mehidy Hasan spoke about Bangladesh’s gameplan.

“If our bowlers bowl well on Day 5, we have a chance. However, we are not thinking too far ahead. We have taken a good lead and we need to take early wickets,” he said.
